FAQs

Do I have to be an experienced yogi to join?

  • Not at all! Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll find our sessions welcoming and accessible. Every class is designed to meet you where you are, focusing on functional mobility and mindful movement rather than “perfect” poses.

Is participation in all retreat activities mandatory?

  • This is your journey. While we encourage joining the group to build connection, this is a “retreat AND a destination vacation.” If you’d rather spend a morning snorkeling the reef or napping in a hammock at Brisas del Mar instead of a scheduled session, we support that! This is a “Real Retreat”—we want you to find your own balance of movement and exploration.

Will you match me with a roommate?

  • We do not match roommates for our guests. Sharing a room is an intimate experience, and we want everyone to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible in their oceanfront suite.

Do you require travel insurance?

  • Because Roatán is an island destination where weather and travel disruptions can occur, travel insurance is strongly recommended. We specifically suggest policies that cover medical evacuation and water activities (like snorkeling or scuba discovery). If you choose to travel without it, you assume full responsibility for any unexpected expenses or disruptions.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • To keep our retreats intimate and boutique-style, all deposits are non-refundable. Detailed timelines regarding final payments and refund eligibility are clearly outlined in your International Yoga Retreat Agreement. We recommend travel insurance to protect your investment should a personal emergency arise.

What if I’m traveling alone?

  • Our guests are welcome to arrive solo! One of the most beautiful parts of the Zenergy experience is watching a group of “strangers” become a community. Between shared meals at the resort and impromptu group excursions on the reef, you’ll find that authentic friendships and connections form naturally and effortlessly.

I want to snorkel. Is there somewhere I can rent equipment?

I am a certified diver, who runs dive trips?

  • You can visit our friends over at West End Divers. We’ve had a great time with them over the years.
  • You can also walk over to Island Diving Center to inquire about their dive trips.
